The QuickEvac™ system is a simple onboard system that fully automates routine engine oil changes, allowing preventive maintenance (PM) technicians to complete a full engine lube, oil and filter change in less than 20 minutes, on any sized machine. Most customers spend 3-to-4 hours on routine 250-or 500-hour maintenance services. With the QuickEvac™ system, these services can be completed in 1 hour or less, saving 2-to-3 hours of labor and machine availability --per PM, per machine. The QuickEvac™ system boosts productivity and helps fleets do more with fewer mechanics.
The QuickEvac™ system allows a technician to perform an engine oil and filter change in less than 20 minutes by completing five easy steps:
1.Purge oil filters, before removing old filters, by disconnecting the line to the oil filter at the QuickEvac™ bracket and connecting a compressed air line.
2.Evacuate the sump by connecting the hose assembly service tool from a PM truck’s waste line (or the manual service tool) to the QuickEvac™ pump's quick disconnect fitting; switch on the pump and evacuate the engine (typically in less than 60 seconds).
3.Remove the used oil filter and replace it with a new empty filter. Connect a PM truck's clean oil-fill line to the line to the oil filter; fill with oil; verify level in sump with dipstick before starting engine and adjust, if needed. (Do a normal fill if a PM truck is not available.)
4.Disconnect the PM truck’s clean oil-fill line from the line to the oil filter; reconnect the line to the oil filter to the QuickEvac™ bracket.
5.Verify oil level and start the machine. Because the QuickEvac™ system fills the engine via its new oil filters, the system allows a "live" dipstick read without requiring a technician to climb on the machine and restart the engine. (The engine is prelubricated automatically when it starts.)
Key benefits include:
Speed: With the QuickEvac™ system, any lube, oil and filter change can be completed in less than 20 minutes, which significantly increases machine productivity and availability.QuickEvac™ system users gain an average of 16 to 24 hours in productivity, per machine, per year.
Savings: Most fleet owners recover the full cost of the QuickEvac™ system in less than one year, many in less than 6 months. And, considering its environmental benefits, safety features, and contamination control capabilities, the QuickEvac™ system really is a valuable cost-efficient factor for any maintenance program.
Safety: Statistics reveal that that 30-35 percent of injuries on heavy equipment occur when operators climb on or off machinery. Because all QuickEvac™ components are ground accessible, technicians spend far less time climbing on or under machines during routine maintenance.
Live Dipstick Read from Ground: Because the QuickEvac™ process fully pressurizes engines as part of the fill process, the system delivers a "live" dipstick read without requiring the operator to climb up, start the machine, shut down the machine, then climb down to verify fluid levels.
Contamination and Spill Control: The QuickEvac™ system pumps oil directly from the engine into a final waste container, which ensures that no oil touches the ground, the machine or the PM tech. This eliminates environmental concerns and provides a safer work environment for service techs. In addition, because the QuickEvac™ system allows engine refill via the engine’s new oil filter, new oil is fully filtered for improved contamination control.
Automatic Engine Lubrication: The QuickEvac™ system includes a complete engine prelubrication capability that ensures full oil pressure, on every start, before the engine is allowed to crank.
The QuickEvac™ system is a simple plug-and-play operation. You just plug in the QuickEvac™ service tool and push a button. In 35-45 seconds, the engine is empty and ready for refill. With the QuickEvac™ filter purge feature, your service crew will appreciate the “no spills” assurance and the fact that the filters come off empty (not full of heavy, hot oil) and there’s no danger of burned hands.
No. Because the QuickEvac™ pumps are onboard and sized to fully empty the machine’s engine in less than 60 seconds, time for service is remarkably consistent across machines of all sizes. A comprehensive 250-hour service for any machine can be completed in under an hour.
•Paybacks in 12 months or less
•Saves up to 2 hours per PM
•With engine prelubrication for every start, extends engine life
•Fits virtually all machines – new and old
•Carries a comprehensive 12-month unconditional parts warranty
Accounting and financial professionals are responsible for managing business costs and they understand Return on Investment (ROI). The QuickEvac™ system typically generates an ROI of 150% per year, which is be very appealing to your finance managers. Also advise them of the QuickEvac™ system’s role in improving environmental safety and employees’ safety. Both of these factors impact your company’s financial health.
Production and Service groups within an organization struggle to meet competing needs. Production prefers to schedule services when demand for output is low, while Service wants to perform PM when it is due. Compromise is always an issue. The QuickEvac™ system's faster service provides more opportunities for scheduling PM at prescribed intervals. Production groups are more willing to give up a machine for PM when the out-of-service time is an hour or less.
Yes, independent testing by the renowned Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, concluded that under typical start-up conditions, prelubrication reduces engine bearing and ring wear by up to 60 percent. In addition, with overnight and weekend shutdowns, effective QuickEvac™ prelubrication can reduce engine wear by as much as 53%.
No. Because the QuickEvac™ system's pump is "onboard," only a simple service tool kit and a correctly sized containment drum are all that’s needed. Plug in the QuickEvac™ service tool, hit the button and you will be pumping oil from the engine into final containment in seconds. As one fleet owner commented, "QuickEvac is like having a lube truck onboard."
Because the QuickEvac™ system is a comprehensive system, it provides important benefits even if you already have PM trucks. In fact, the QuickEvac™ system will reduce the typical PM times of your lube trucks by 50%. It also provides:
•Filter purge…no spills, burns, environmental risks
•Refill via filters for improved contamination control
•Live dipstick read, for faster, safer PMs
•Engine prelubrication for longer engine life, reduced risks from lack of oil, glycol dilution, or fuel dilution.
The QuickEvac™ system is a modular system that is now capable of expanding to include both transmission and hydraulic compartments. The advanced system is called the MultiVAC™ system, which is designed to allow your techs to empty all three compartments -- engine, transmission and hydraulics -- directly into final waste containment in less than 5 minutes.
